About Ashlyn

Hi! My name is Miss Ashlyn and I am so happy you’re here! I am an Early Childhood Professional with over ten years of experience. I started from the bottom - a full time volunteer at a daycare center, to lead teacher in a preschool classroom for seven years, a middle school teacher for one, then spent the last three years as an Education Specialist for an Early Head Start/Head Start Grantee Agency. During my time as a preschool teacher, I received my Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Education (birth - 2nd grade) along with my Illinois Professional Educators License.

I have built strong relationships with families being their sole “date night” babysitter for over five years and have been babysitting since I was a teenager.

I am passionate about helping guide children towards being respectful and kind humans, while also focusing on developmental milestones and learning through play. Children gaining important Social and Emotional skills is key to their future success in their social world but also in their academic career.
